Cookie Policy
This policy explains how myhelper.co.za, myhelperapp.co.za and myhelpersubmit.co.za use cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. "Similar technologies" include browser local storage, which works in much the same way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both. Some are essential for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used. Where cookies identify you, POPIA applies to them.¹
2. Your choices
When you first visit, a banner at the bottom of the screen gives you three options:

We remember your choice for 12 months and then ask again. If we add a new type of optional cookie, we will also ask again. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site (such as logging in) may then stop working.

3.2 Analytics cookies (only if you click Accept all)

Google processes this information outside South Africa. We use it only in aggregate, to improve our sites. We don't use it to identify you.
3.3 Marketing and advertising cookies
We currently use none. If we add advertising pixels in future (for example from Meta, Google Ads or TikTok), we will list them here first, and they will load only if you click Accept all.
4. Changes
We will update this page whenever we change the cookies we use. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
